Incredible font lab -- Postscript as well as (blech) TrueType fonts. Professional designers. I can't say enough good things about this site. The designs are fun, innovative, clean, useful, playful, weird, marvelous.

Sumo Sailor Moon
The first annual Sumo Wrestlers Dress Up Like Your Happy Favorite Sailor Moon Fun Donkey Glad Character Convention. I could not make this up in a hundred years.

From the article: "The sailor Venuses feeling "one upped" and dejected started a brawl with the sailor Jupiters. Fueled by wildly colored skirts, tight binding panties and homosexual undertones a full-scale riot broke out between wrestlers of every sailor variety.

"The insurgence consisted of many participants stripping naked and attempting to use their "sailor powers." These aforementioned powers mainly consisted of more grabass and belly slapping. Some Rotund ruffians used the plastic swords and scepters that accompanied their ensample. After eleven minutes the fighting ended. All the participants, tired and sweaty, gave up attempting to maim their fellow transvestites and the convention continued without further incident ..."

A Memorial for Scarlet / Lisa
One of the founding members of the original VP1 community died on April 13th. "Scarlet Delaney" will be remembered for her gift of poetry, and her gift to the Virtual Places community by bringing the tradition of the Poetry Den (now "Poetry Cafe") to VP.
